lifegroups

I started teaching Maria's Lifegroups Class towards the end of her pregnancy with Brooklyn. At first, I agreed only to fill in. But when the time came to decide who was teaching Lifegroups for the new year, Maria decided it would be a good idea to take a year off (which I totally understand)! When Gary Allen heard that Maria wasn't going to be teaching, he asked me if I would think about it and of course I said I would think about it. I had basically made up my mind that I was not going to teach Lifegroups...at least not right now for the following reason: Sometimes I feel like I still have a TON to learn, before I should be teaching anyone!

Anyways--So, I went to church the next week knowing that Gary was going to ask me for my answer. And on my way to church, I went over in my head what I was going to say to Gary when he asked me and so on. But for those of you who do not know this already---Gary Allen and Brian Tibbs have magical powers. It doesn't matter how badly I don't want to do something, or how long I think about, or how much I've made up my mind about it...if either of those two ask me...I Give! So of course when Gary asked me if I would do Lifegroups, I said "Yes" with a smile on my face! I have to say though- I have really enjoyed it and I'm very glad that Gary used his magical powers on me ;) Janette and I joined our classes and the kids are so much fun! It's amazing to hear the prayer requests these kids have! Marcye gave me this picture. I love the facial expressions...especially Micah's!

I hope everyone had a great weekend <3

Teaching a Sunday school class helped me grow so much. I started teaching right after I graduated high school and this past year is the first time I've been with out that class and I miss it so.

But I am so happy that you have taken it over for me. I couln't have gotten a better replacement.

Some of the funnest things I've ever experienced was in my Primary Sunday school class. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This goes out to all CIC members: How many of you have had the pressure put on by GC Allen or "the look"? Well, over the past 32 years--I've lost count!!! :) Megan, just count yourself lucky that he's not as involved as he used to be.

Love,
Your Momma

Ha ha! I can testify to that! GC does have some special powers when it comes to "the look."

Gary once glanced my way, causing me to immediately sell all of my possessions! Then I joined the cantata choir.

I've even found myself avoiding him when I know he's planning on asking something. Is that wrong??? ;)I think we've all been there!!!

I'm not quite sure what was going on with Micah in that picture. She can be so stubborn sometimes!!
