I haven't been sleeping much here lately. I've always been a night owl, but it seems my bed time is becoming later and later. I would start feeling tired at about midnight six months ago. Then my bed time went from midnight to 1am. And then it went from 1 to 2:30. My new bed time is somewhere around 4:30 in the morning. I am wore out. I'm always up early for either school or to go babysit. I'm wore out! I've had a lot on my mind here lately and I think that's what has been keeping me up at night. It's like when I lay down for bed my mind decides it wants to be busy or something! I start going over things that I need to get accomplished tomorrow...or things I need to get accomplished ever! I think about mine and Chris' wedding, school, issues that need to be resolved...you know, the usual. Maybe once things calm down I will be able to get back to my old routines. Until then, if you're ever up at 4:30 in the morning and you need someone to talk to...feel free to call me! I'll be wide awake :)

Here is a suggestion that I learned from a writing class: Keep a journal, pad of paper, etc next to your bed. Right before you go to sleep write, empty your mind about the day, make a list of things you need to do, or whatever. This will help free your mind so you can rest.
Believe it or not it works.
Wait until you are KEPT awake and you beg for sleep ;)
I could have called you a week ago when I had insomnia. I don't like being up that late....especially when your mind is running wild with a million things. I hope you get some rest soon...
Girl! That's not healthy!! Here's a couple of things I do when there are big changes in my life and I have trouble sleeping:
1. Listen to a sermon by someone whose voice you like. When I was in Korea, there was nothing like listening to my dad (who preached sermons back then). This past year when I went to Ethiopia, it was Chip Ingram on my ipod. It focuses my thoughts and relaxes my mind & it's meditating on good things!
2. Read!! Do you like to read? Only you can't read a thriller, cuz that defeats the purpose.
I hope you find something that works for you soon!
Rachel-I love reading a good book! But once I start reading, I can hardly put it down until I'm finished! I like mysteries...
