Fireproof--a must see

At the spur of the moment Saturday night, Chris and I decided to go see Fireproof. Several people from his work attended a sneak preview at Southeast and gave it rave reviews.
We went to the 9:45 p.m. showing and were surprised to see the theater was mostly full. An interesting side note about Fireproof is that it was produced by a church and most of the actors are not professionals. The same church produced Facing The Giants. The only person you may recognize in Fireproof is Kirk Cameron, from Growing Pains.
The instrumental music in the movie was composed by B.J. Davis, who is the director of the Southeast orchestra.
Although I liked the message in Facing The Giants, some of the acting was a little cheesy. This is not the case with Fireproof. Chris and I enjoyed this movie from beginning to end and believe it has a message that every couple needs to hear. Hollywood has been churning out romantic movies for decades, but none of them conveys Truth like this one. Consider seeing Fireproof for your next date night and let us know what you think!

Megan,
Thanks for the review. Ever since I seen it advertised on tv I thought that it would be a good movie for Wayne and I to see. After we get time to see it I'll let you know how we liked it.

Tony and I went to see Fireproof on our Saturday night date, too! We went to the 7:00 showing and LOVED it!!! We totally agree that it's a movie that EVERYONE should see no matter what stage of marriage you are in (engaged, newlyweds to the golden years). It's also good for singles to see as well. AWESOME movie ... I just can't say enough about it!
