Rufus goes to the drive-in

Friday: Chris and I decided to bring Rufus along with us to the drive-in. It was the weekend that they were allowing you to bring your dog AND they were showing Beverly Hills Chihuahua! How could we pass that up? :) Plus--Rufus had a haircut Friday morning which is a horrible 3 hour experience. As soon as we arrive at the woman's house, he starts clawing and crying. It's awful! I've switched his "hair dresser" several times because when he first started reacting that way, I couldn't help but think that the poor dog was being abused or something! Turns out he's just terrified of clippers, hair dryers, cages, and bathing :) So back to what I was talking about--Rufus had a pretty rough day and we felt bad about leaving him at home for the rest of the night...so we took him with us.

We had so much fun! We stayed for both movies. The first movie, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, was only okay. But we loved the second movie, Wall-E. Rufus alternated between mine and Chris' laps during the first movie. He slept in his dog bed in the back seat during the second movie. It was an awesome date night...even with Rufus joining us :)

Saturday: We have been painting the outside of our house for a couple weeks now and it's taking forever! We were painting all day Saturday too. We tied Rufus up outside so he could hang out with us while we painted. Before we went outside, I put his sweatshirt on him since it was pretty cold. After about thirty minutes of being outside, I noticed that Rufus was acting weird. I'm not sure what caused it--the temperature outside or his fur being shaved off the day before or a combination of the two--but he was shaking all over! We brought him inside and turned the space heater on towards him. Poor baby :(

Sunday: We painted again all day. We didn't finish but we're getting close! By that evening, we were hungry so we made a trip to KFC. When we came out to our car it wouldn't start. So my parents drove out to try to give us a jump but it still wouldn't start. Then we tried changing out the battery and that didn't work either. We had to get the car towed to a garage for it to be fixed. As stinky as that sounds, we managed to have a really great evening together ;)

Monday: We are still waiting to hear what was wrong with our car. Chris took my car to work so I'm stranded here for the day at least. Chrissy came by to visit me. We ate lunch and chatted for awhile. I'm feeling yucky today with a cold.
