Why we're voting for John McCain

Chris and I have been talking a lot about the upcoming election, and are greatly concerned about what the media predicts as the probable outcome. We’re praying that between now and election day, Americans will see through all of the rhetoric and vote with wisdom and for values. That being said, here are five reasons for why we are voting for John McCain.

1. Senator Obama is the most liberal candidate ever to run on the democratic ticket. He was once quoted saying that the constitution of The United States is flawed and needs to be corrected. It scares us to think what corrections he has in mind.

2. John McCain knows how to lead the military. McCain is a war hero and well respected by our troops.

3. There are too many unanswered questions about Barack Hussein Obama. His ethnicity, citizenship, patriotism, religion, and who he associates himself with all have been seriously questioned. We keep asking ourselves why there’s so much mystery surrounding him.

4. John McCain believes in capitalism. Senator Obama has made it clear that his administration would spread socialism, or as he puts it “spreading the wealth around.” We believe it’s wrong to steal from small business owners and give their hard earned money to people who didn’t work for it.

5. John McCain is unapologetically pro-life. Senator Obama talks a lot about civil rights but fails to understand that you can’t discuss civil rights without acknowledging everyone’s fundamental right to life. Now that we’re pregnant we are more passionate about being pro-life than ever. It would be tragic for us to elect a president who proudly supports the killing of babies. If our baby Lincoln could vote there’s no doubt he’d vote for McCain--not for the candidate who sees him as a disposable fetus.

Though I do not know you I do read your blog. I could not agree with you more. Especially about the rights of an unborn child. We must fight for the babies who are never given a chance because of a so called "choice"

Megan,
I am sooo proud of yours and Chris's views of the next political election. We as Christians must step up and encourage everyone to vote. I am appalled by people I have talked to who said they wasn't voting for either one because they don't like either candidate. That makes me really sad because millions of young men have gave their lives for our right to vote! Also, how can we as Christians vote for someone who has beliefs so different than the bible. All I can say is, "YOU GO GIRL!" love ya
mom

Megan, you know how much I back you on this. I love babies, and it is MURDER to kill a baby at any point! I am praying that God will take care of this one. The thought of Barack Hussein being our president makes me sick to my stomach!

After carrying a child for 9 months, hearing the hearbeat (very early I might add), feeling the kicks, and finally holding that baby, I can't see why anyone, any woman for that matter would ever be pro-choice. Being a mother is a gift, a blessing, one should never take that for granted!

What if you became pregnant after being raped?

Life begins at conception so killing a child in the womb is no different than killing one outside the womb. Would you kill a toddler because he's a product of rape? No. Then why would you kill him inside the womb?

If the woman did not want the child, there's always other options beside abortion. I don't really think that that's the reason for the majority of abortions, though - anymore people use abortion as a means of birth control, which makes me feel sick to my stomach. It's an easy fix, and it shouldn't be.

I am terrified over this election. Simply put, Obama scares me. I'm not Senator McCain's biggest fan, but I really like Sarah Palin. I can't help but notice how the liberal media will highlight every blemish or scar (metaphorically speaking) with the Republican candidates, and yet somehow it doesn't seem to matter to them that Obama is linked to known terrorists and fanatics who think that all white people should be enslaved or dead. Do we really want someone like that in power?
