Momma's Banana Bread

This is my mom's recipe and it's the best banana bread I've ever tasted. You will need:

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2-3 bananas, mashed
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups flour

First, cream the butter, sugar, and eggs together.

Mix the sour cream and baking soda in a seperate bowl. Let stand till foamy.

Mash your bananas.

Add the baking soda/sour cream mix to the butter mix.

Add the rest of the ingredients to the butter mix.

Pour mix into two greased 9x5 bread pans. It should only fill the pans up about half way.

Bake for 50 minutes at 350.

Enjoy!

How on earth did you make something like banana bread look so delicious? I don't even like banana bread and I'm seriously considering making it.

It is super delish. Last night I ate four, warm pieces that I marinated in butter. I'm so glad I married a master chef!

Hey Meg,

My mom wanted some Bananna Nut Bread, and I told her about Leigh's, and she made muffins out of the mix. Awesome! (If you ad a 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts, they are even better)
