Chris has been working on patio pavers to cover the block of cement in our back yard and last night I took some pictures while he worked. Here's a quick lesson in how to make a poor man's patio :)
You should start by purchasing a bag of cement. Next, you open the bag and pour it out!
Then you mix in the water and the cement color.
Stir it up ...
Next, you pour the concrete into the molds. Chris likes to spray non-stick cooking spray onto the mold first :)
Then he shakes the mold to get all the air bubbles out.
And voila! Patio pavers! I'll post pictures when our patio's finished.
Thank you so much for making these for our patio, Chris! It was an awesome idea and they look great! Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Love you!

Hey Megan so how much savings is this for making them on your own. We must have similar taste these look like the pavers we bought that go to our pool. They cost us about 4.50 a peice so we could only buy 10.
I'm loving his Superman shirt that's he's wearing while working hard on this project!!
Chris,
Those are the most amazing patio pavers I've ever seen! That was a great idea on your part ... inexpensive and a great way to spice up your back yard! Do you think you could make me some?
