a piece of history

For Chris' birthday we went to Madison, our favorite town in Indiana. We spent the day wandering aimlessly down Madison's historic streets. Here are some of the pictures from our fun day ...

Here's a shot of Madison's historic store fronts. Most of these house antique and gift shops.

Similar to the decorated horses that were strewn throughout Louisville, Madison has decorated pigs. These are just a few that we saw ...

Flower power pig

Spider pig (made famous by Homer Simpson)

Newspaper pig

Nightlife pig

This is our favorite home in downtown Madison.

One of the more interesting shops we explored was a store dedicated to dogs.

The owner's golden retriever greeted guests at the door.

These mouth-watering treats are for canines only.

We bought Rufus this delicious looking dessert. He hated it.

So if you know any dog that would enjoy a peanut butter filled miniature cake, just let us know.

He does love his new dog bowls, courtesy of one of the little shops.
