trash to treasure

Chris and I went to Architectural Salvage on Saturday. They carry antiques that have been salvaged from old homes, hence the name Architectural Salvage. Clever, I am indeed.

The store was super neat and we could have looked around for hours if Lincoln hadn't been strapped onto my chest ... and if it hadn't been 100 degrees outside ... and if we had endless amounts of money. Nevermind.

Here are some pictures of a few things we saw.

We bought one of these old window frames. There are pictures below of what we're doing with it.

We also bought this frame. We're going to hang it on a wall in our kitchen and then we're going to hang smaller pictures inside of it. I'll post pictures once that project is done.

We hung the window frame over our bed and I think it turned out nice!

That is a cool place. Another place that has floors of stuff is Joe Ley's antiques on Market, I haven't been there for years, but I've been meaning to.

Great finds! We have an old paned window in our kitchen. I just love recycled pieces. Mixing the old with the new!
