an update on Denny

As you already know, Denny had surgery today and he did very well. There were no complications. He had a great doctor and we are so thankful for that. We are also very thankful that they caught the problem now, rather than later. Thank you, God! We know that once Denny is fully recovered he is going to feel better than he's felt in a long time. It was a long day for everyone. Chris and I got at the hospital at 8am, along with Kathy, Brian, Robert, David and Pastor Brian. We stayed with Denny until it was time for him to head back to surgery around 1:00. They weren't going to actually begin surgery until 2:00. So during that time we got a bite to eat and came back to wait. To pass the time and to get our minds off of things, we played Apples to Apples. It was probably the best "waiting at the hospital expierence" I've ever had. Considering the circumstances, everyone was in great spirits. Kathy was blessed with some pretty hilarious boys ;) The Doctor informed us at around 5:00 that Denny had came through surgery perfectly. We had prayer and thanked God for taking care of Denny through his surgery. We were able to see him briefly at 6:30, but he was sleeping. We ask that you continue to keep Denny and his family in your prayers. I will keep updating you on his recovery. The entire family really appreciates all of the emails and phone calls weve received. Thank You!
