6 months & 2 days pregnant

At our last ultrasound they couldn't get a good look at Lincoln's face so they had us come in for another ultrasound today. He looked perfect! We also had our monthly appointment with Dr. Riely and that went great as well. I have to go back in two weeks for the glucose test. I will be looking forward to that, Renae! Chris and I got to see Maria and Brooklyn on our way out of our doctor's appointment!

Here's what the book had to say about Lincoln this week...

At a weight of 1 1/2 pounds and a length of about 8 1/2 inches, your baby has outgrown the fruit references and is now the size of a standard letter. Baby's weekly weight gain is now about 6 ounces-not quite as much as you're putting on, but getting a lot closer. Much of that weight is coming from accumulating baby fat, as well as from growing organs, bones, and muscle. By now, your baby's tiny face is almost fully formed, and achingly adorable--complete with a full set of eyelashes and eyebrows and a good sprinkling of hair on that head. Is your baby a brunette, a blond, or a redhead? Actually, right now, he or she's snow white, since there's no pigment in that hair just yet.

I flipped this picture so that Lincoln is looking right at you :)

I made the mistake of eating a peach cobbler before I left for the glucose test with Brooklyn and of course it showed that I had too much sugar in my system and had to go back for the horrible 3 hour test where they drew blood like 5 times...so don't eat any sugary foods before you go for your test!!! Trust me!

I had to do the three hour as well... not fun, but really not as horrible as I thought. That was the day there was a 42 year old woman also taking the test. She was pregnant with a little surprise. Her youngest kid was in college. :-)
