our little eggplant

My appointment for the glucose test was at 9:00 a.m. First, they had me drink a sugary fluid that tasted like a not-so-great orange soda. They told me I would have to wait an hour before they could draw my blood to see how fast my body processes sugar. The good news is that I had my check-up appointment with the Nurse Practitioner during the hour long wait, which made the time go by much quicker.

I LOVE the Nurse Practitioner I saw today. She's my favorite! Her name is Carole Buhts and she's a Christian. She measured my belly. Lincoln is about 11.2 inches long. She said he was not too little and not too big :) While she was listening to his heart beat, she could see and feel Lincoln kicking! My weight and blood pressure were both great. I hadn't gained a pound! Yea!

After my hour was up, I went to the lab and they drew my blood. The results will be back by the end of this week or first thing next week. Say a prayer that I don't have to go back for the 3 hour test.
Lincoln is about the size of an eggplant, weighing in at around 2 lbs! No wonder I'm feeling him all the time! His eyelids are are completely open now too.
Our next appointment is in two weeks with Dr. Riely.

I loved everyone in their office. I pray Dr. Riely doesn't decide to leave before I have another one.
