1 package dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in remaining ingredients (add flour last); beat vigorously 20 strokes. Heat 1 cup of water to boiling in the microwave. Put the dough in a large glass bowl and heat for 10 minutes on #1 power setting with the water left in the microwave. Make sure you grease the bowl with non-sticking spray. After heating the dough for 10 minutes, cover the dough with wax paper or foil and let it sit in the mircrowave for at least 30 minutes with the water still in the microwave.
Pizza Ingredients
1 pound sausage
1 pound hamburger
1 32 ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon minced garlic
16 ounce shredded mozzarella cheese
Add toppings you prefer such as: green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, green olives, red onion, pepperoni, jalapeno peppers, and so on...
Cook and stir sausage and ground beef until brown. Drain grease from meat. Add tomatoes and herbs and bring to a boil. Let simmer at least 5 minutes while fixing the dough in the pan.
Press dough on bottom and halfway up sides of greased 13x9x2 pan. Pour meat mixture over dough. Spread cheese over top of meat mixture. Top with your favorite toppings. If you are going to use pepperoni, I would put those on top of the cheese first. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes until cheese is light brown.
