I mentioned in my last post that Lincoln hasn't been having regular bowel movements. That has been going on for the past couple weeks. Within the past few days, Lincoln has also started spitting up huge amounts of milk after every time he eats. When he spits up it's very forceful and shoots out. When I would try to feed him, he would arch his back and refuse to eat after about five minutes. Lincoln is normally not a very fussy baby, but he has cried non-stop here lately. It's to the point that he is losing his voice and can hardly make noise.
So today I took him to the doctor. The pediatrician said that he definitely has reflux and that's why he's arching his back and refusing to eat after a few minutes. What she was more concerned about was his projectile spit up. Lincoln has to have an ultrasound done tomorrow to make sure he doesn't have pyloric stenosis--a condition that some babies develop 4-6 weeks after birth in which the stomach muscles force milk up the throat and it shoots forcefully out of the mouth. The pediatrician said that if he had this condition, it would make sense why he's been having irregular bowel movements too. They should be able to tell us during the ultrasound whether or not he has it.
He will have to have surgery if he has it, and although it's a simple procedure from what I've read, it's scary to me none the less. So would you please pray for Lincoln. Pray that he doesn't have this condition, that God would heal him of his reflux, and that he would be able to eat and keep it down. Thank you!

Get Well Soon Lincoln!!!
Poor baby! We know how scared you are right now. We will Keep ALL of you in prayer! You need God's presence to get you through this as much as Lincoln needs God's healing hands on his little body right now!
Poor Lincoln. I know he must be miserable. I will pray for him and you also Megan & Chris.
I am so sorry about Lincoln.I will pray for his good health.
Keeping the little guy in my prayers.
Prayers are with you, keep us updated as you get more information.
Oh, sure - I finally get around to checking the blog and find that Lincoln is sick. Bummer! Also strange because you mom once told me that it's not being nosy to look at your blog, it's checking on everyone and seeing if they have a need... You, Chris and Lincoln will all be in my thoughts and prayers today. Hang in there; it's usually harder on the parents than the kids! (But, I will say he is growing like a weed so you must be doing something right!)
