Speaking of my husband---he has been putting off getting his hair cut for quite some time. His hair is on it's way to looking like it did in this post. That's why last night, when our friend Rachel spotted us at the ROCK meeting, she thought I was with another man! Can you tell that I love linking to things?

The meeting was held at Kyes, which got me thinking ...

I can't believe it was just a little over a year ago that we walked down those stairs,


and ate that cake,


and drank that fake bubbly,


and danced on that floor.

Memories ...

{pure randomness}

Here's what's happened since the last time we blogged:

Thursday: I was asked to be a bridesmaid in my friend Sara Hutchinson's wedding. Chris and I were on the interstate, making our way to her wedding rehearsal when we blew a tire. We couldn't change the tire because it was right in the line of oncoming traffic. So we called Hoosier Helpers--the people who are supposed to come change your tire if you need help. They told us the were off duty and couldn't help us. So we called a towing service. Some interesting things happened during the 40 minutes we were waiting for the tow service to arrive. Hoosier Helpers drove by...and didn't stop. A cop stopped and we thought "Yes! He is going to help us!" Instead he let us know that someone had called him and reported that we were fighting on the side of the road! Let me just add that we had been completely at peace with each other the entire time...hugging, smiling, laughing, taking pictures of our broken down car...you get the picture! I don't what the lunatic who called was thinking?!


Anyways- we ended up having to put my car in the shop because a piece of my car was bent from where we came down so hard when the tire blew. Two cars in the shop in two weeks...wow. Needless to say, we were late to the rehearsal.


Friday: Halloween and date night :)


Saturday: We went to Bryce and Sara's wedding. Sara looked beautiful. We are very happy for them!


Mom and Chrissy walked in the 5k Ohio River Greenway 2008 race. Chrissy came in first and Mom came in second! Way to go Mom and Chrissy!!


Sunday: Chris felt Lincoln kick for the first time!!! Lincoln is always really active in the mornings. We were still in bed and he was moving like crazy so Chris put his hand on my belly. Sure enough, as soon as he did, Lincoln gave me a nice kick. We were so excited! I know we've been slacking on the belly pictures. I promise we will put one up soon with an update on Lincoln!


Tonight: We are going to watch the election with my parents at our friend's house. Go McCain!!!!

Believe it or not, I had Chris' permission to put this up on the blog! The other day he went for a run and when he got back, he ran his fingers through his hair and it stuck!

problems in blogworld...

I have tons of pictures to post but I'm having problems with uploading right now :( I have pictures from our yard sale this weekend. We did really well, but we plan on putting the rest of our stuff in my family's yard sale in September.

After the yard sale, we went to Laura and Michael's wedding! We are so happy for them! The wedding was beautiful. Laura looked radiant. Jane looked beautiful too. I loved that Laura didn't feel the need to follow traditions she didn't like. For instance, I loved that Laura carried her bouquet in a purse, because she LOVES purses. I loved that she didn't use an aisle runner, because it reminds her of toilet paper! :) She's a hoot... I have some good pictures from their wedding to post!

We have already started receiving baby gifts! My friend Audrey bought the baby a neutral outfit, booties, and a hat. My aunt Chrissy bought the baby an outfit and a photo album. She bought us a heart to heart prenatal listening system! It's really neat. We will be able to hear the baby's heartbeat when I'm a little further along...at home!

My mom and I were going through some of my baby stuff the other day, and she gave me two of my baby blankets to keep. We also found my favorite toy from when I was a baby and she gave me that as well. It's a stuffed bunny wearing a dress. It was a gift from Gary and Connie Allen. It's so neat that in 7 months, our baby could be sleeping with my bunny! I'm so glad my mom held on to those things because they are so special now!

Last, but certainly not least....today is Josh's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH!!! I took a bunch of pictures from his birthday that I will post later!
